CURRENCY
Italy is well-equipped for card payments, and widely accepts Visa and Mastercard. You shouldn't have any issue using your card to pay for the train, restaurants, souvenirs, etc., but if you want to buy anything from street vendors, taxis, etc., you will need to have cash on hand. You can visit a local ATM once you arrive and withdraw euro.
TIPPING
When having a meal at a sit-down restaurant, a 10-15% cash tip is expected if you received excellent service. Some places will have a service charge already included in the bill, so you do not need to tip on top of that. You should always tip your hotel staff and porters a few euro whenever you use their services. You should also tip your tour guides (€5 per person for a half day, €10 per person for a full day).

ACCESSIBILITY
Most cities in Italy are accessible, or have accessible ways to see the city (e.g. golfcart tours). These tours are a good option in places like Rome where the roads are uneven. The Amalfi Coast is not as accessible do to being on the cliffside and having many stairs.
